I made most of my Christmas gift this year. Which doesn’t mean I spent any less money…and certainly not less time…but somehow it was meant more — to me — to give something I had put time into. The hardest part? Finishing a few weeks early and having to WAIT to give it to them. And show people that I learned how to sew!

- set #2 — contrast stitching on both sides

- the cup I made on cafepress.com for Brian…it features something he actually said…and he LOVED it, he even told someone else about it!
- the princess crown for my niece
- the bag for my sister….of course, I had to test the self-made pattern on one for myself first…

These are great! I am especially impressed with the contrast stitching. That’s a lot of extra work just to ensure that something looks cool. Way to go! I might look for a pattern like your shoulder bag to make here at home. How was it giving the home-made gifts to people? Isn’t it fun to see the looks on people’s faces? I love knowing that every time a person looks at a homemade gift, they remember the effort & creativity that went into it. And they know that no one else has a duplicate.
Nice work! I’m totally impressed. I think I might need a mug like that because it sounds like something I would say too!
